The Galway Tour Company’s Clonmacnoise Heritage Tour departs at 1:30 pm and journeys to Middle Ireland at the intersection of the River Shannon & ‘The Great Highway’ to make a visit to Ireland’s most impressive monastic site- Clonmacnoise.

Departing Galway Coach Station at 1:30 pm the tour of Clonmacnoise is a fully guided tour with a 90-minute visit to the 6th century monastic ruins- entrance fee is included in the tour price. With a history of over 1,500 years today you will find a wonderful interpretive centre, 2 Round Towers, medieval high crosses & lots of church ruins. Clonmacnoise is one of Ireland’s best kept secrets and one of Ireland’s most spectacular sites. After visiting the site we make a short trip to the riverside town of Shannonbridge & make a stop at J.J Killeens landmark pub where you can sample heritage of a different kind such as the house special of Hot Rum & Chocolate!

The Clonmacnoise Heritage Tour begins and ends in Galway Coach Station - return time to Galway Coach Station is 6pm.
